Timpson

I took in a pair of quality trainers to Timpson's in Watergate Street because the soles had worn down at the heels. The trainers were too expensive to throw away, but could they be re-soled?John was on duty and his professional manner was such that I was happy to accept his advice that they could and, not only that, the new soles would last for years. A week later I collected them and they look as good as new. The trainers feel good too.Whenever I use this branch of Timpson it is the customer care and good manners that impress me most. Other shops would do well to follow their example! If you need your old shoes renewed or if you need keys cutting, I recommend Timpson in Watergate street. Definitely 5 stars!

Amazing customer service from Mark. I had previously taken in a couple of watches to have batteries replaced. These were done exactly in the time he stated with courteous service and at a very reasonable price. I was so impressed that I took the remainder of my watches that needed batteries changing in a week later and received exactly the same care, professionalism and personable service. Cannot recommend Timpsons on Watergate Street enough. Simply brilliant. Thank you!

I had some passport photos taken in here, but when I tried to upload them to the passport agency it said wrong colour. I made a return visit and was refunded for the passport photos without issue and redirected to another store where correct photos were taken. Excellent service all round despite the issues. Went here is December for a watch repair. The man who helped me and my dad was one of the kindest, and most helpful people we have ever met in the service. He recommended his favourite local pub, made a solid effort to get to know us, and was genuine. This is a gem of Chester and any tourists who visit Chester should come visit this shop to support local and get a small sense of what the town is all about.

I was surprised at how quick it was to get my keys cut and what a great range of quirky keys they had. The shop assistant was lovely, very friendly and knowledgeable. My keys were great quality, pretty and work perfectly.

I had to go back 3 times to get my key cut properly!My boyfriend went in there to have a duplicate of our backdoor key, paid £8, went home... it didn't work. By looking at it closely, it was obvious why: they keys clearly didn't look the same.My boyfriend went back and politely explained what happened, asking to make sure that this time the key would be exactly the same.He came back home: it wouldn't work.I went back and explained what happen. The man who served me was friendly and apologetic to be fair, but when I went back home... guess what? It wouldn't work.So my boyfriend and I went back one last time. We were (not) greeted by a woman who didn't smile once, nor showed any signs of basic customer service. Whilst my boyfriend explained once again to her colleague, he started talking to a customer ignoring my boyfriend mid-sentence! No apologies either, even though we had to go out of our way 3 times to get a key cut: he actually blamed it on our door instead!Absolutely shocked by the lack of customer service and the trouble we experienced for what should be a simple task.

Recommended as the best Timpson in Chester! John is a delight, great customer service and willing to go beyond expectation for customer satisfaction! I have used this shop many times over the years and they always do a superb job. Service is absolutely top notch, they'll tell you if they can do the job and when they can do it by and you can rely on that. He dug me out of a hole today with repairing something that I broke and need to use urgently. Superb service.
